Abigail and her siblings grew up in the same school communities as my children, attending Our Lady of the Hamptons and Mercy together. From Villanova to Forever — Wildcats at Heart
Abigail and Cam’s love story began at Villanova University, where a chance meeting at a party quickly turned into something lasting. Abigail was a sophomore, Cam a junior, and their connection unfolded naturally — shared formals, overlapping friend groups, and an easy sense that they were building something real.
From the beginning, Abigail was drawn to Cam’s compassion — his ability to listen, care deeply, and show up fully. When he seamlessly fit into her lifelong circle of family and friends back home, she felt a quiet certainty. “Our families became one very quickly,” she says. “It felt special right from the start.”
Villanova holds an almost unbelievable place in Abigail’s family story. With her father a proud member of the Class of ’90, she grew up steeped in Wildcats traditions and a close-knit alumni community. Abigail and her twin sister, Caitlin, later followed in his footsteps by attending Villanova together — each meeting the person they would marry there — and their younger brother, Jackson, continued the streak, attending Villanova and finding love on campus as well. Three siblings, one university, and three love stories.
The Proposal
Cam proposed on the 21st night of September, 2024, at Lincoln Center in New York City — a place deeply tied to Abigail’s lifelong love of ballet. Under the guise of tickets he’d secured through work, the couple dressed up and headed toward the box office before dinner. But as they paused by the iconic fountain, Cam stopped — and proposed.
Completely surprised, Abigail soon realized the evening was far from over. The celebration continued at Empire Rooftop, where Cam revealed both of their families waiting to toast the moment. After dinner, one final surprise followed: a party with all of their friends, turning what she thought was a simple night out into an unforgettable celebration. Thoughtful, unexpected, and deeply personal, the proposal was a perfect reflection of Cam — and the love they share.
Growing Up Out East
For Abigail, the Hamptons isn’t a destination — it’s home.
She grew up with long summer days at the beach, quiet winters filled with family walks, ballet classes, school traditions, and friendships that have lasted her entire life. She describes the local Hamptons experience as something entirely different from the summer season — slower, quieter, and deeply connected to nature and community.
One phrase she shares says it all: “Local summer begins in September.”

First Look at Coopers Beach
Before the ceremony, Abigail and Cam shared their first look at Coopers Beach in Southampton, a place deeply tied to Abigail’s childhood and one she has loved for as long as she can remember. The iconic shoreline of Coopers Beach provided a stunning yet familiar backdrop. Joined by their bridal party and family, the moment felt joyful and meaningful — a special way to begin the day surrounded by loved ones in a place that feels like home.
Coming Home to Say “I Do”
Abigail never considered getting married anywhere else. She had imagined walking down the aisle of The Basilica of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary since she was a little girl sitting in those pews. On her wedding day, that childhood vision came to life.
“Our wedding mass was truly unforgettable,” Abigail says. “It was the most special and meaningful part of the day. Having our family and friends involved in the mass, and Father Mike making it so personal, was incredibly emotional. Seeing everyone there — people who have known me my entire life — was breathtaking.”
After the ceremony, Abigail and Cam slipped into a convertible and drove through Southampton, including iconic Wyandanch Lane, receiving honks, waves, and cheers from locals along the way. “We drive those streets all the time,” Abigail says, “but this time, we were in our wedding outfits — just married. It was surreal.”
The Venue: Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club
Just a week after getting engaged, Abigail and Cam toured Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club, and the decision was instant. Standing on the back deck, watching the waves roll in, Abigail knew this was where their wedding belonged.
A true beach lover, she wanted guests to experience the Hamptons the way she always had — coastal, open, and effortless. The venue’s blank canvas allowed her vision to shine: Hamptons Coastal Chic with a pop of color.
Green and white hydrangeas reminiscent of home were paired with soft pink roses, rattan, and seagrass textures — creating a summer garden party feel by the sea, even in late September.
The Dress & Bridal Details
Abigail’s bridal look was deeply personal, layered with family history and sentiment.
She fell in love with her Anne Barge gown the moment she put it on, guided purely by how it made her feel. It wasn’t until afterward that she learned the dress was called “Darling” — the very nickname her grandfather had always used for her — a coincidence that made the choice feel completely meant to be. The design was classic with intricate floral beading, and Abigail customized it with a dramatic bow at the back for a playful, modern touch.
To honor her grandmothers, the seamstress carefully sewed pieces of both of their wedding dresses into the inside of Abigail’s gown — a hidden detail close to her heart.
She also wore a blue sapphire ring, created from her grandmother’s original engagement ring setting and reset with a sapphire as a meaningful “something blue.” Her shoes were a gift from her mother-in-law, making her bridal look a true collaboration of love across generations.

The wedding ceremony remains the emotional heart of the day. Seeing the church filled with loved ones — many of whom had known Abigail since childhood — was breathtaking.
Taking a quiet moment for themselves, Abigail and Cam slipped down to the beach at sunset for photos, pausing to look back at the venue where their guests gathered on the deck above — a surreal, full-circle moment.
As night fell, the celebration continued with a bonfire after party, where guests gathered around the glow of the fire — a beloved East End tradition and the perfect ending to a day rooted in home.
The Creative Team: Local Talent, Local Heart
Abigail and Cam intentionally built their vendor team around the East End community that shaped her childhood — people she trusted and felt deeply connected to.
Their photographer, Natalie, a longtime friend from Our Lady of the Hamptons and Mercy, brought familiarity and ease to every moment. Florals by Peggy Kneski of Riverhead Flower Shop — another cherished local connection — brought Abigail’s vision to life with thoughtful mock-ups and beautifully layered tablescapes. From Kathy Burton Cakes and Montauk Pearl Oysters to Lovely Indeed Events, Edward Archer Southampton, and Father Mike Vetrano officiating the ceremony, each choice felt personal and intentional.
“These weren’t just vendors,” Abigail says. “They were people who truly understood me — and understood this place.”
Reflections from Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club
In the golden light of a mid-September evening, Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club Event Coordinator Klaire Klemens reflected on a celebration deeply connected to place, family, and East End tradition — the kind of wedding that unfolds as effortlessly as the tide.
Klaire has witnessed countless celebrations along the shoreline, but Abigail and Cam’s stood out for its relaxed sophistication and unmistakable sense of home. “There’s something incredibly special about welcoming a local family back to celebrate such a meaningful moment,” she shared. “From the ocean backdrop to the energy on the dance floor, everything felt joyful, easy, and completely authentic to who they are. I love when families are able to relax and truly enjoy the evening they’ve anticipated for so long — and watching Abigail and Cam dance the night away with their loved ones, the biggest smiles on their faces, was one of the sweetest takeaways of the night.”
As the evening carried on — from sunset cocktails to dancing beneath the stars — the celebration naturally transitioned to an intimate beachfront bonfire, where guests gathered around the fire, making s’mores and lingering together. Watching Abigail and Cam share those final moments with their families and friends, she adds, “is exactly why weddings here feel so special — they don’t just end, they gently unfold.”
What It Means to Marry at Home
“Getting married where I grew up has always been my dream,” Abigail reflects. The love and excitement from the local community — people who had followed her journey from childhood to bride — made the experience even more meaningful. And while Cam didn’t grow up Out East, the Hamptons is now forever part of their shared story.
