There are launch parties, and then there are evenings that completely shift the energy of a community. The hamptonBRIDE Montauk Launch Party at the Montauk Yacht Club was unmistakably the latter.
With over one hundred wedding professionals from across the East End gathered along the waterfront, the evening celebrated the official Montauk launch of hamptonBRIDE and a new era of wedding weekends rooted in experience, immersion, and elevated hospitality. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Montauk Yacht Club, guests were welcomed into a night intentionally designed to be experienced, not simply attended.
As the sun dipped behind the marina, attendees became some of the very first to sample signature bites and cocktails from Alba Spiaggia, the Montauk Yacht Club’s highly anticipated new restaurant. Coastal flavors, curated cocktails, and the effortless elegance of the property immediately set the tone for the evening, creating the kind of atmosphere couples increasingly want their guests to step into from the moment a wedding weekend begins.
Experiential events have become one of the defining trends in modern weddings, and hamptonBRIDE set out to create its own interpretation of the ultimate wedding weekend kickoff party. The result was a celebration guests genuinely did not want to leave.
One of the most talked-about moments of the evening came from NOFO Events, whose immersive Welcome Market completely transformed the space. Designed as a sophisticated take on the modern wedding welcome experience, guests were invited to browse, shop, and take home a curated collection of the “couple’s” favorite local finds.
The market featured specialty items and custom details from unique East End brands including Montauk Hair Co., Jamagansett, Amagansett Sea Salt, Dearly Beeloved, Color Our Town, Eccentric Bagel Chips, Angelbaked NYC, Dylan’s Candy Bar, The Treatery, East End Sticker Vend, along with custom hamptonBRIDE merchandise woven throughout the experience.
“Bringing to life a coastal-inspired welcome market for the hamptonBRIDE launch at the Montauk Yacht Club was truly an unforgettable experience,” shared Danielle Danowski, owner of NOFO Events.
“From the thoughtfully curated giveaways to the elevated market atmosphere, every detail was designed to create a moment guests could step into and remember. As wedding markets continue to become one of the most sought-after trends in the event industry, we wanted to create something that felt immersive, intentional, and uniquely reflective of the hamptonBRIDE aesthetic. Today’s couples are looking for more than décor. They want experiences their guests will talk about long after the celebration ends.”
Throughout the evening, experiential activations continued to surprise guests around every corner. Hamptons Ink arrived with their fully customized tattoo bus, offering live tattooing and giving attendees a permanent keepsake from the evening. Inside, Sadie Bean Designs hand engraved elegant luggage tags for guests in real time, while Dylan’s Candy Bar delivered a nostalgic candy buffet that instantly transported attendees back to childhood.
“Dylan’s Candy Bar was delighted to be part of such a special night, adding a touch of sweetness to an unforgettable experience,” shared Cara Damer.
Guests were completely starstruck over Instagram-famous cookie artist Abbey Kowalec of Angelbaked NYC, who attended the event with her breathtaking hand-painted cookies inspired by Montauk. Known for creating intricate edible works of art for iconic brands including Cartier and Dior, Abbey’s presence alone created buzz throughout the evening. Her stunning cookie collection quickly became one of the most photographed details of the night, leaving guests genuinely speechless.
Montauk Yacht Club’s live oyster shucking station added another layer of coastal sophistication, while Hampton Ice became one of the evening’s standout details with a jaw-dropping custom ice sculpture and crystal-clear filtered ice that elevated every cocktail experience.
“Ice is a detail every guest physically interacts with all weekend. We use it as a canvas to create moments people feel and remember,” said Albert Vigneau, founder of Hampton Ice. “From engraved cubes with initials and flower-filled ice squares to custom sculptures, elevated raw bars, and cocktail presentations, the best weddings give guests something to talk about Monday morning.”
Another standout detail came courtesy of Dearly Beeloved, who debuted a beautifully branded gelato cart featuring the hamptonBRIDE logo, custom Instagram-worthy spoons, elegant signage, and four signature gelato flavors that quickly became a guest favorite.
The ambiance throughout the evening was tied together flawlessly by Laurel Florals, the Montauk-based floral studio known for its whimsical coastal-inspired designs. Their installations softened the space with movement, texture, and organic elegance, bringing a refined East End aesthetic to every corner of the event. Meanwhile, musician Evan Miller created the perfect soundtrack for the evening with acoustic renditions that blended timeless classics and modern favorites effortlessly.
Capturing every moment behind the lens were AV Content Ltd. and Santa Cruz Photography, documenting the evening as it unfolded naturally through candid interactions, layered details, and emotional moments.
“Photographers are increasingly documenting entire wedding weekends, rather than just the wedding day itself,” said Mia Santa Cruz. “From welcome parties to farewell brunches, couples are prioritizing full-story coverage that captures both the celebration and the experience, allowing photographers to create a more personal and complete narrative.”
For hamptonBRIDE founder Kerry Wilkie, the evening represented something even larger than a launch party.
“Couples are elevating their wedding weekends with experiences and details that make guests stop, take out their phones, and share the moment,” Wilkie shared. “We wanted to create that feeling for our hamptonBRIDE community of professionals because they deserved the opportunity to simply be guests themselves and feel pampered before the busy wedding season begins.”
The celebration also served as the official announcement of the new hamptonBRIDE Podcast, now streaming on Spotify and hosted by seasoned East End photographer Janelle Brooke. The podcast will spotlight the people, places, and conversations shaping the future of weddings across the East End.
