Stephen Ammirati has had a passion for food and the hospitality business since a young age! He’s been in the food service industry since the age of 7, when he worked at the Mattituck Village Market. He was introduced to the family’s catering business and realized this was an industry he loved.
His interest in the family business evolved into him starting Ammirati’s of Love Lane in Mattituck with his brother, Greg. In 2020 Steve decided to focus more on catering and start his own business, The Catered Fork, which offers personalized catering for events no matter what the size.

The Catered Fork was one of the best parts of our wedding day. Their food is OUT OF THIS WORLD - we received multiple comments from guests saying that they'd never had such delicious food at a wedding before! The cocktail hour bites were also incredible. I mean, who serves caviar at a cocktail hour?! The staff was so kind and helpful, the bartenders fast and fun, and the cooks were clearly on their A game. I will be recommending Catered Fork to anyone who asks - they are the absolute best.

Our catering experience was absolutely outstanding for our wedding! The staff went above and beyond - they were friendly, attentive, and Danielle made sure everything ran seamlessly. The food was incredible - our guests are still raving about it! From the generous passed bites during cocktail hour to the beautifully presented family-style dinner, everything was fresh and flavorful. Even the cocktails were a hit.
